The Time Keeper Experience

Image
I'm so proud of myself...last week, I saw a book in my teammate JCs cubicle. It's a hard bound book and the title is quite interesting... The Time Keeper. I recognized the author as I've read his first two books "Five People You Meet In Heaven" and "Tuesdays with Morrie" and I've known him to be an inspirational writer. He said he borrowed it from our other teammate Nonia. I got excited to see what the book is all about so while he is on a call, I asked him if I can borrow just while were in the office and he offered to let me borrow it first. According to him, he wont have time to read it anyway since our rest day is still four days to go. So I grabbed the chance and tried my best to read it as quickly as I could, knowing I need to send it back before our rest day and lo and behold...I finished it in two days! It's like a 250 page book and I was able to finish it for like a total of 4 hours as it's not a continuous reading. I read it in th

Internet Free Days

Sorry wasn't able to update you of what's going on for five days! It's because we forgot to pay for our monthly internet bill for the month. LOL. The payment is ready since the 30th of January and it is not due until February 3 but we've lost track of time and were so lazy going to the Bayad Center in Munoz. Finally, when we've learned that our landline has already been cut off, we hurriedly went to Waltermart Munoz and paid the bill so they could reactivate the service within the next 24 hours. Since our much awaited movie of Anthony Hopkins is now showing, we hurriedly bought some tickets which only cost us P260 for both. Waltermart movie house is so cold and cozy compared to SM and the tickets are much affordable too. It's been a scary experience inside the theater house as I thought we're the only ones inside. And since the movie we are about to watch is about exorcism, it felt so creepy. Good thing, someone at our back coughed which means there's so

Simplify by Bo Sanchez

Just after reading the "Simplify" book by Mr. Bo Sanchez, I knew for a fact that I have a higher calling. God has ordained me to do a lot of things for his own glory. He planted a desire in my heart to work part time so I could have enough time to serve Him and serve others as well. He wants me to have financial stability to have the courage to facilitate the mission He gave me in this lifetime. I know I'm not made just to exist - I know each and everyone of us is made for a single purpose - that is to glorify God through the life we live in. It does'nt matter if you are a teacher, a construction worker, a plain housewife - each of us have corresponding circle of influence...we need to utilize whatever we have to serve the Lord. I know I've been so spiritual on this post but it is more of a realization - a reflection of what the purpose of life is. I highly recommend the book especially to those individuals who are still struggling to know what path to take. Simpl

Love the Movie: Lost Boys

Image
Just saw the movie "The Lost Boys: The Tribe" on the net while doing some stuff for my blog at 2 am and I would say, it's a nice one. The scariest horror figure for me is a vampire as it can eat one person alive through its sharp fangs- and that for me is indeed scary! The story evolves around Chris and his younger sister who, after having lost their parents in a car accident, moved in with their Aunt and become new prey for the locals way of life. When Nicole falls for a vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gans lifeline before his sister's transformation is complete ... and he had this done with the help of a Vampire slayer Chris. I enjoyed watching the film and actually parked my blog to finish the movie. Good one here, you should check on it!
